Palak Mata-Pita Yojana

Palak Mata Pita Yojana only those orphans whose mother and father have died or in case of death of father and remarriage of mother, the child’s maternal aunt or uncle or foster mother. 3,000 rupees per month in the joint bank account of the foster parent and the child will be paid by the Gujarat government till the child reaches the age of 18 years from the medium of DBT for the maintenance and upkeep of the child.
The eligible support under this scheme will be spent by the foster parents for the child’s nutrition, education and the child’s life like other children.
The eligible support under the scheme will be paid into the joint bank account of the foster parents and the child.
If for any reason one month’s assistance is not deposited in the beneficiary’s bank account, then the collected assistance of two months will be paid in the next month.
The assistance available under this scheme will be paid in the first or second week of the month.
At the beginning of every year, the bonafide certificate of the school where the child is studying and the mark sheet have to be deposited in the Social Welfare Department, failure to do so by the beneficiary will result in withholding of assistance.

Beneficiary:

If the father is dead and the mother is alive and has not remarried then the assistance will not be eligible. This assistance will not be available even if the mother has remarried or the mother has died and the father is alive.

Benefits:

Support under this scheme will be paid till the child attains the age of 18 years. The support will be stopped after the child reaches 18 years of age. Under this scheme only the applicants of Gujarat state will be eligible for assistance. Foster parents include grandparents, uncles, aunts, aunts, uncles, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Children adopted from orphanages will not be eligible for this assistance. As long as the child is studying and attains the age of 18 years, he will be eligible for assistance. If the child is below 18 years of age and drops out of school, the aid will not be available. The annual income of the foster parents should not exceed Rs 27,000 in rural areas and Rs 36,000 in urban areas.
