PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yogna

The PM-Kisan scheme is a centrally sponsored program fully funded by the Government of India. It has been effective since December 1, 2018, and offers an annual income support of ₹6,000 to all farmer families who own land, which will be given in three equal installments.

The definition of family under the program comprises the husband, wife, and minor children of the farmer. The state governments and union territory administrations are responsible for identifying eligible farmer families based on the scheme’s guidelines.

To receive the benefit, the fund will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts

 

The following categories of beneficiaries are not eligible for benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme, as they belong to a higher economic status:

1. All institutional landholders.
2. Farmer families that fall under any of the following categories:

• Former and present holders of constitutional posts.
• Former and present Ministers/State Ministers, former/present Members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislative Assemblies/State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
• All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/State Government Ministries/Offices/Departments and their field units, Central or State PSEs and attached offices/Autonomous Institutions under Government, as well as regular employees of Local Bodies (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees).

3. All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs. 10,000/- or more (excluding Multi-Tasking Staff/Class IV/Group D employees) of the above category.
4. All persons who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
5. Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.

Land-holding farmers.

Benefits:

Financial benefit of Rs 6000/- per year in three equal installments, every four month is transferred into the bank accounts of farmer across the country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
